Wieland Electric's gesis® IP+ pluggable electrical installation system has played a pivotal role in the illumination of The Great Gallery at the Royal Automobile Club in London's Pall Mall. The Royal Automobile Club is a private members club steeped in over 100 years of history and tradition as a social and automotive club. This prestigious location offers restaurant dining, banqueting, accommodation and sport facilities to members.

Speedier Wiring for T5's Lighting

In its largest ever single contract, worldwide, Wieland Electric is supplying several variants of its gesis® modular wiring solution to the UK's most prestigious project in recent years - Heathrow Airport's new Terminal 5 (T5). Wieland products are playing key roles in the installation of lighting at T5, enabling faster and more accurate installation and commissioning. They include the recently introduced gesis® EIB bus system, Metalynx armoured wiring system, gesis® NRG flat cable systems and gesis® CON standard modular installation products.

Wieland Links up for Golfing Hotel

Installation of lighting at an extension to The Grove, London's Country Estate, near Chandlers Cross, Hertfordshire, has made use of the gesis®® pluggable modular wiring system from Wieland Electric. gesis®® 3 and 4 pole modules were selected for the project by design and build electrical contractors T Clarke for speed of installation as well as the technical support provided by Wieland throughout the project.

Wieland's On Track at New Street Station, Birmingham

Wieland Electric has been a major contributor to the transformation of Birmingham New Street station by supplying its popular gesis® 2, 5 & 6 pole pluggable installation system with integrated DALI to feed lighting round the new concourse.

Plug and Play Connections for Library of Birmingham

Wieland Electric has supplied gesis® GST and RST connectors to facilitate fast cabling of lighting at the new Library of Birmingham. Opened in September 2013, the 31,000m2 Library of Birmingham is one of the largest public libraries in the world and has replaced Birmingham Central Library. The building comprises a spacious entrance and foyer with mezzanine, lower ground level with indoor terraces, four further public levels and two outdoor garden terraces. There is also a 'golden box' of secure archive storage occupying two levels, provision for staff offices and service plant on a further two levels and at the very top of the building a rotunda feature housing the Shakespeare Memorial Room.

Wieland's Metalynx2 Provides the Power at Canada House

Wieland Electric's popular structured wiring system Metalynx2 was the preferred choice to connect power and lighting at the newly refurbished Canadian High Commission building in London. The refurbishment, which included a complete new lighting system, has been incorporated during the amalgamation of two existing buildings occupied by The Canadian High Commission, namely Canada House located in Trafalgar Square and 2-4 Cockspur Street which is situated to the rear of the main building.

Wieland provides an efficient and sustainable connection for Cambridge Stem Cell Institute.

Wieland Electric has supplied its Metalynx2 structured wiring system and Revos electrical connectors for use in the new six storey state-of-the-art, Biomedical Research Building on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Home to the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute, the prestigious 18,000m2 building, is part of the University of Cambridge and located directly next to the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute. This new facility will bring together all the medical research groups currently located across the city to provide a fully integrated, vibrant and cohesive stem cell community.
