Wieland Electric's popular structured wiring system, Metalynx2 has been used throughout a new state-of-the-art building in the centre of Hammersmith,London. 10 Hammersmith Grove is the first of two new office developments in the W6 area which is going through significant transformation. Within easy reach of London Heathrow and the West End, the area is conveniently placed and is home to a network of blue chip organisations. No 10 Hammersmith Grove provides 109,556sq ft of Grade A office accommodation along with two restaurants, roof terraces and a public realm area.

Specified and installed by leading technical services providers Imtech Engineering Services, Wieland's Metalynx2 system is distributing all the lighting and power throughout the building, which includes 8 floors of office space, a mezzanine area and the public ground floor section. The versatility of the Wieland Metalynx2 system has allowed Imtech to maximise productivity time and ensure that tight deadlines were met. Commenting on the installation, project manager Bobby Vance stated "We used the modular system for simple and quick installation. With a short installation time on-site the ability to provide a flexible solution during CAT A works meant Wieland's modular product was ideal for the project". Wieland also ensured that all goods were delivered to site on-time and offered full on-site project management and technical support.

The Metalynx2 system offers a variety of benefits that include compact design for easy installation through fire barriers and stud work walls and is designed for the efficient installation of lighting circuits and other power requirements that are located above ceilings - all pre-wired and pre-tested off site. All Metalynx2 cables are low-smoke, zero-Halogen insulated, with single cores compliant with BS 7211 and multi-cores constructed to BS 7211. The identification colours of the cores also comply with industry requirements. Metalynx2 also has the added benefit of future proofing to allow any further changes or reconfigurations.
