Wieland Electric does a 'grate' job at 122 Leadenhall Street - The Cheesegrater Building.
Wieland Electric's popular Metalynx2 modular wiring system has been installed within office space at 122 Leadenhall Street, London, a building more informally known as "The Cheesegrater" because of its distinctive wedge shape construction.
Designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, the Cheesegrater building is in the heart of the City of London financial district and has been awarded an 'excellent' BREEAM rating with 45 floors of office space constructed to a CAT A fit-out. Wieland's Metalynx2 system was specified and installed by mechanical and electrical contractors PhoenixME Limited who chose Wieland's new generation in modular wiring to connect power and lighting MDBs which in turn feed LCM's and fan coil units within the office space.
With structured wiring now the preferred choice for fast track installations, the Metalynx2 system offers contractors a quicker and more efficient system for connecting power and lighting control schemes. The Metalynx2 system arrives on-site pre-wired and pre-tested for quick installation and for infinite design flexibility can be easily configured to adapt to any future system changes.
